Vanilla Bean Cupcakes

If I was given the choice to choose between a chocolate cupcake and this vanilla cupcake, I would choose these vanilla bean cupcakes every dang time.  Considering I’m the girl who is addicted to chocolate, that says a lot!

This cupcake is like biting into a vanilla frosted cloud. It’s so moist, light, and flavorful.  These are made with both vanilla extract and a vanilla bean so they have twice the amount of flavor compared to other vanilla cupcakes.

Peach Pie

Happy National Eat a Peach Day!  What better way to eat a peach than in a peach pie?! Plus it’s a healthy way to get your fruits for the day…. am I right?

Peach pie is the epitome of summer desserts. This is a classic, no frills peach pie with just peaches, sugar, flour, and a whole lotta butter.

I used to be terrified of making pies because I thought pie crust was way too difficult to make and I thought I needed some fancy tools to make it look nice.  Boy, was I wrong!  This pie crust is SO EASY  and you can use your hands to make it.

Funfetti Confetti Cookie Cake

Hey y’all! This Wednesday I bring to you a funfetti confetti cookie cake! Oh my goodness.  This dessert makes any celebration 1000 times better. Birthdays are not complete without it, heck, no celebration is complete without it.  I decided to make this cookie cake to celebrate the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale!

For anyone who doesn’t know me, I am obsessed with Lilly Pulitzer.  They have the cutest printed dresses and clothing that are filled with bright colors. This is a major event since there are only two sales a year. What better way to celebrate than with a soft, chewy, colorful funfetti cookie cake?  This cake is loaded with rainbow sprinkles, white chocolate chips, and a buttercream icing that is to die for.

M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies

Happy Sunday friends!!  This weekend has been super relaxing.  Last night, Joe and I celebrated Pittsburgh Restaurant Week at the Grand Concourse in Station Square and it was amazing! We had a perfect view of the city and ate delicious food.  Pretty sure I’m still in a food coma from the raspberry fudge cake we ate for dessert. I need to learn how to make something similar to that ASAP!

After dinner, we drove up to Mount Washington to see the view of Pittsburgh at night since I have only ever been there during the day.  It was stunning! Definitely a must see in Pittsburgh if you’re ever in the area.

Today, I slept in and decided to make these M&M chocolate chip cookies when I woke up.  I made them a couple weeks ago and have been craving them everyday since then!  Fun fact: my favorite candy is plain M&M’s!  So M&M’s mixed with my favorite dessert (chocolate chip cookies) is basically a match made in heaven!

S’mores Pudding Pie

Happy belated national s’mores day friends! Maybe we should just call it s’mores week because I’ve been eating this dessert everyday (#noshame). Growing up s’mores were always a rare treat for me since I lived in the city. My friends and I would always make them with marshmallows roasted over the gas stove! S’mores are one of those desserts that basically define summer. So obviously I had to make a twist on this classic treat, and all I have to say is YUM.
